Platform were approached by the Cleveland Clinic in December 2022 to deliver their second London outpatient facility in the City of London.  

The scope included the repurposing of newly reinstated office and retail space to a medical use by, demolishing existing slabs, reinforcing the existing structure, undertaking significant additions and alterations to base building MEP to deliver: reception spaces, consult/examination rooms, ophthalmology, ultrasound rooms, MRI, and X-Ray machine with associated supporting infrastructure. 

The works were undertaken in an occupied building over the main building reception and required close interface with the existing occupants, building manager and the City of London.  

Platform oversaw the procurement process, contractors design portion and construction duration and were also tasked with co-ordinating the design development and delivery of the specialist medical imaging equipment during the fit out and activation phase, which included the co-ordination of the fixtures, furniture and equipment and operational equipment at Practical Completion.  

The works completed in November 2023 and the Clinic received its first patient one month later.
